The leaders of the United Arab Leaders have congratulated president Adama Barrow on the anniversary of Gambia’s 54th independence celebration.
According to local media reports, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has sent a congratulatory message to President Adama Barrow .
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent similar messages to the Gambian President.
On February 18 1965, Gambia got its independence from Britain. The Gambian leader and several top officials of the country are on Monday morning gathered at McCarthy in Banjul in celebration of the day.
Later today, several Gambian youth will also gather at the Youth Monument at Westfield to discuss issues affecting the country.
