Gambia wants to improve cooperation with Russia on countering terrorism and boost collaboration between the two countries’ ministries of justice, Gambian Minister of Justice and Attorney General Abubacarr Marie Tambadou told Sputnik on Friday on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.

“Terrorism is a scourge against humanity. I think every country wants to fight terrorism wherever it exists and whatever form it comes,” Tambadou said, adding that the Gambia would like to boost cooperation with Russia.

“There is always room for improvement, there is always an opportunity to cooperate more, to share information and to collectively work together to make this world a better place.”
