The National Assembly Member for Niamina East Omar Ceesay has requested President Adama Barrow to address the nation amid recent security issues in the country.
“We are requesting Mr. President to address the nation,” he said.
He continued that the insecurity of the people should be top on the national agenda.
“The insecurity of the powerless, voiceless and hopeless people should be top on the national agenda by all state institutions led by the president,” Ceesay observed.
Honorable Ceesay insisted that the long standing silence of the leadership is not encouraging as the citizens are mystified about the insecurity of the state. He also called on the President to say how the government intends to end the situation.
“Mr President, we equally expect you to express your concerns by speaking to put forward measures as to how the Government intends to bring an end to such unacceptable killings,” the MP concluded
The National Assembly Member made these remarks on Facebook on Wednesday.
