The 1st Deputy Leader of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) said APRC-National People’s Party Alliance talks are near conclusion.

“If the NPP gives us our wishes we will do it (Alliance). The NPP alliance looks inevitable. It is going to happen, if we get our wishes…It is almost a done deal,” Ousman Rambo Jatta told Kerr Fatou in an interview on Thursday.

Asked what would their conditions be, if they are to form an alliance with the National People’s Party;  “in our negotiations, list number one is the joint communique, number two is the home coming of president Jammeh, number three is [release] his assets, number four is our vehicles, and number five is our frozen accounts. We have seven bullet points, but I cannot remember all,” the 1st Deputy Party Leader replied.

Recently, the APRC have confirmed that they are in talks with President Barrow’s NPP for a possible alliance ahead of the 4th December presidential poll; and some of the key demands they put forward in the negotiations include the return of the seized assets of the party and former president Jammeh, among others.

Efforts to get the views of the National People’s Party were unsuccessful.
