The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) has resumed issuing national documents (passport, national identity cards, driving licenses) and alien cards throughout the country.
GID halted the issuance of the National document and alien cards following the outbreak of coronavirus in March.
According to the director general of Immigration Seedy Touray, the issuance of the cards will in line with the World Health Organisation and ministry of Health covid-19 regulations. This include hand washing and social distancing in all areas where national documents is being issued.
The issuance of national documents and Alien cards will be from Mondays to Thursdays.
