Bo Jarju who lost UDP’s leadership bid ahead of 2016 presidential election by few votes is the appointed spokesperson of the former ruling Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction party. 
The Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction party has made a major reshuffle of its party leadeship appointing a former member of United Democratic Party as its spokesperson.
Bo Jarju, a native of Brikama, has defected to the APRC few days to the 2016 presidential election that the former ruling party has lost to a coalition candidate Adama Barrow.
His defection was announced at a meeting in Brikama where he was shown on camera hugging ex-president Yahya Jammeh.
Jarju has contested for the leadership of the UDP and lost to Adama Barrow by few votes.
Jarju who confirmed his appointment to Kerr Fatou was involved in series of fracas with UDP supporters following the presidential elections in Brikama.
Meanwhile, Jarju’s predecessor Seedy Njie has told Kerr Fatou he is 100% behind Barrow.
It is not however clear if he has left the APRC or even defect to the UDP since the president is a coalition candidate.
Also sacked as party leader is Fabakary Tombong Jatta who was replaced by former general Momodou Alieu Bah.
And Rambo Jatta, the mayoral arspirant for Kanifing municipality who lost to UDP’s Talib Bensouda becomes the deputy party leaders.
Yankuba Colley, former KM mayor and national mobiliser of the party, is replaced by Jaranding Sanyang.
