The legal adviser at the secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Almamy Taal, has been relieved of his duty.

Taal, who confirmed his sacking to Kerr Fatou on Sunday, has vowed to challenge the decision. The decision to relief Taal came from the presidency.

Taal has not been very kind in his reviews of the administration of President Adama Barrow.

Barely a week ago, an adviser to Barrow, Dou Sanno, was on local newspaper, The Standard, criticizing Taal.

Taal’s sacking is believed to be politically motivated as tensions deepen between the United Democratic and President Barrow.

Taal, who was on a two-year contract, said he is going to challenge his sacking in court.
